Who is Jay? - I'm an animal lover, a husband and father of 3 amazing children. I wanted to be a zoo keeper as a child (to be honest, I don't think I ever stopped wanting to be) but I'm particularly in love with parrots.

I started in the exotic bird world in 2008 when I was still living in Texas, before I made my way out to California, where we operate today.

The birds I breed are some of the species that I am most interested in personally. The species in my collection can be found on the bottom of each page here. I am also able to locate many other species I'm not currently breeding through partner breeders, so be sure to contact us if you are looking for something we may not be working with.

Why Jay's Exotic Birds?


Choosing to get your next feathered companion from Jay's Exotic Birds is simple.. We care. We provide the utmost care for all of our breeding pairs and their babies.

What does that mean? For Starters, we keep both our indoor and outdoor breeding facilities extremely clean and sanitized. Periodic sample collections (swabs) of our facilities for disease testing, Including blood samples from our breeders.

We provide our breeders with a high quality diet consisting of all natural, quality breeder pellets (Psittacus Brand) along with a variety of organic veggies, nuts, chili peppers and fruit. Our babies are fed with a variety of formula blends (also Psittacus brand) that is species specific formula, providing the nutrients your future baby needs for optimal growth.
